Our vision at ChiroFitt is to lead our community to a better quality of life by eliminating pain, improving function, and promoting well-being with innovative evidence-based therapeutic and training strategies. Our team of a chiropractor, massage therapist, and personal trainers is well-equipped to meet our patrons’ needs. So whether you are currently in pain, looking to find a way for relaxation or looking to get fit to enjoy life and be able to perform everyday activities better, we have something for everyone.
Basically we want to help you become the best version of yourself. Our services include chiropractic care, fitness training, massage therapy and nutritional coaching. Though, each of these services has its benefits separately when brought together they can have an even more profound effect.
What does chiropractic treatment exactly consist of?
Chiropractic treatment focuses on restoration and maintenance of mobility and function of the body’s soft tissues including muscle, tendon, ligament, discs, and joints. Chiropractic is most commonly associated with spinal manipulation; however at ChiroFitt we utilize numerous proven and effective treatment options, when indicated, to improve your condition in the least amount of time possible along with providing you with the best opportunity to maintain your progress long-term. Dr. Kielbasa is a highly skilled manual therapist with many certifications in musculoskeletal assessment and treatment of spine and extremity (shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, etc.) disorders.
Can I utilize these services if I am not an Athlete?
At Align we believe everyone is an athlete, whether your sport is accomplishing daily household tasks, recreational activity, or competing at a high school, collegiate, or professional level, efficient movement is the key to your success. Our trainers specialize in functional training with a focus on helping our clients achieve greater mobility, stability, strength and power.
How is your training approach different?
We train the body as a whole versus isolated parts, as we function as a whole versus isolated parts. After all, a strong muscle is useless if we do not know how to use or control it, therefore it typically is not advisable to train muscles in an isolated fashion, which can also create muscular imbalances and actually create awkward stress on our joints resulting in pain and injury. Our trainers never train a client without first taking them through our Fitness Assessment, which includes a Functional Movement Screen and a balance test. Our programs are designed to provide maximum benefit with minimum risk. Though, exercise has many positive benefits the wrong exercise for an individual can also have negative consequences including pain and injury. Our ability to train you in a healthcare facility offers us a distinct advantage of knowing more specifically how to assist you in reaching your fitness and health goals through a collaborative trainer and doctor approach.
Is massage therapy for just anybody?
We offer a full spectrum of massage therapy services to assist our patrons in soft tissue recovery and relaxation. Our massage therapist specializes in therapeutic massage, myofascial release, Swedish massage, manual lymphatic drainage and oncology massage. Massage can be utilized for our chiropractic patient as part of their acute care plan, but often is used as a standalone service for those looking for a great way to help their muscles recover from everyday use.
How does nutrition play a role in my health?
Nutritional coaching helps to guide our patrons on better ways to properly fuel and nourish their bodies. We truly are what we eat! Our tissues (bones, muscles, skin, organs, etc.) are composed of matter that is provided through the foods that we eat. An appropriate balance of carbohydrates, fats and protein are necessary to maintain optimal function of our body. In today’s world of genetically modified and processed foods trying to make healthy food choices can be very difficult. It’s not just eating that’s important; it’s what we are eating. In other words, making our calories count and not just counting calories is what’s important. Outside of breathing, proper nutrition may be the single most important component to us living a healthy life.
